Sustain

A better tomorrow begins today.

MSC Certified

Every wild-caught clam species we use is certified by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC). Our commitment to this certification underscores our dedication to science-based sustainability, focusing on environmental impacts and the health of clam populations. At Chowderbox, our policy is clear: we only work with species that have MSC certification and are free from any genetic modifications. We aim to be the seafood brand our customers trust the most, not only by minimizing food waste but also by safeguarding our oceans and waterways. We achieve this by consistently choosing to source from regional partners who uphold the most stringent standards in sustainable seafood practices.

FSC Certified

Our customers are increasingly mindful of the environmental impact of their food packaging choices, understanding that various packaging options affect the planet differently. Research has demonstrated that Tetra Recart carton packages significantly reduce climate impact compared to traditional steel cans and glass jars, with carbon emissions across their lifecycle being 81% lower. In response to this, all our Tetra Pak carton packages proudly carry the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification. The rectangular design and lightweight nature of these carton packages make them incredibly transport-efficient, leading to fewer trucks on the road. This aligns perfectly with Chowderbox's commitment to sustainability, providing an ideal packaging solution for our products.
